🌌 TDT: Therapeutic Deep Tissue – A Nervous System Reset
A new kind of bodywork. A new kind of healing.
Therapeutic Deep Tissue (TDT) is a revolutionary approach to trauma healing – not through storytelling or analysis, but through the body and nervous system.
Created by Gerry Pyves, psychotherapist and bodyworker, TDT brings together modern neuroscience, ancient healing touch, and decades of clinical experience. It’s based on the understanding that many of our physical, emotional, and energetic challenges are actually echoes of nervous system disruptions , held in the body long after the original experience has passed.
🌀 Why TDT Works
Unlike traditional massage or talk therapy, TDT bridges the gap between both.
It’s not about rehashing trauma or reliving the past , in fact, we don’t talk about trauma itself.
Instead, we explore your unique keys to healing, your body’s own language of safety, and how we can begin to unwind old patterns gently and respectfully.
You’ll stay present and aware throughout the session.
Rather than drifting off or “checking out,” you’ll be guided to stay with your body , as it heals, releases, and reclaims itself.
✨ Your First Session (2 hours)
-
Half therapeutic conversation, focused on your healing needs, safety cues, and what’s showing up for you
- Half slow, deeply intuitive bodywork, tailored to your nervous system’s current state
-
Gentle, respectful, and trauma-informed — you’re in full control throughout
-
No need to share your story in detail — we work with what your body already knows
🌿 What TDT Can Support:
-
Chronic pain or physical tension that won’t release
-
Fatigue, burnout, or low energy
-
Emotional overwhelm or “numbness”
-
Anxiety, depression, or dissociation
-
Trauma held in the body (even if the mind can’t name it)
-
Disconnection from your body, intuition, or sense of self
-
Existential or spiritual unrest
-
Mental health challenges that haven’t responded to traditional methods
🌙 The Philosophy Behind It
TDT is rooted in Polyvagal Theory (Dr. Stephen Porges) and the most recent understanding of trauma recovery:
That we must “talk to the nervous system in its own language” – through presence, touch, and trust , not force or reactivation.
It acknowledges what many ancient cultures have always known:
Touch heals.
Not just muscles — but memory, energy, and selfhood.
